Implementation of South-North Declarations Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Pak Hae Jon, co-representative of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, called for thoroughly implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration at the international seminar on peaceful reunification held in Seoul on June 17, according to the south Korean internet paper Saram Ilbo.

The June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the programme for implementing it, which are the landmarks for national reunification, are the most fair and aboveboard great programmes to be held fast to by the Korean nation, Pak said, and went on:

In order to achieve independent reunification, peace and prosperity, all the people should implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration irrespective of ideology, ism and political view.

A peace treaty should be concluded between North Korea and the U.S. in order to have the "Security Law" trampling down the inter-Korean joint declarations abolished and establish a durable peace-keeping mechanism on the Korean peninsula.

The Koreans will certainly achieve independent reunification, peace and prosperity according to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
