In this regard, Ri Ryong Yong, a senior engineer of the Taedonggang Battery Factory, told KCNA:

The newly-developed high-performance pump is two times and 1.5 times higher than the imported one in flux and lift.

It, highly resistant to acid, prevents the leakage of solution and reduces the consumption of power by half as compared with the existing one.

Phyo Jin Ha, a section chief of the Institute, said:

This home-made pump is based on magnetic power transmission.

The Institute has already established a manufacturing process to mass-produce it.

The pump, whose main body and motor are integrated, will be introduced to chemical, nonferrous metal, atomic energy and foodstuff industries.
