Kim Jong Il's Exploits Praised by Foreigners

| Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- Meetings and book and photo exhibitions took place on June 17 and 18 in the UK, Norway and Nigeria on the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 16th anniversary of publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. Displayed at the venues of those events were photos documenting the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Put on display were books and pictures introducing the struggle of the servicepersons and people of the DPRK. The chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy praised Kim Jong Il for developing the WPK into the party loyal to the idea and leadership of Kim Il Sung. The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway said Kim Jong Il made sure that the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was published in June 15, 2000, heralding a new era of peace and cooperation on the Korean peninsula. The permanent secretary of the Niger State Local Government in Nigeria and other speakers lauded Kim Jong Il for developing the WPK into an invincible party. A letter and message to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in the UK and Norway. |
