Henri Masico, director general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and department director of the Presidency of Uganda, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to hold diverse events with the approach of July 8, the anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
