Zelenov, first secretary of the Nakhodka City Committee of the Maritime Territory of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize diverse political and cultural events to recollect the revolutionary career and exploits of the President on the 22nd anniversary of his demise.
