Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria, former deputy president of the Senate and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee agreed to introduce the revolutionary exploits and career of President Kim Il Sung and achievements the Korean people made in defending the sovereignty of the country and building a socialist power under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and organize a remembrance meeting, film show and other events on the 22nd anniversary of demise of the President.
