U.S. Can Never Escape Its Responsibility for Escalating Tension on Korean Peninsula: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense recently blustered that U.S. is closely following the situation on the Korean peninsula together with its allies in the region and that north Korea should refrain from its provocations ratcheting up the tension.

Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an article in this regard:

No matter what rhetoric and invectives the U.S. may reel off against the DPRK, it can never evade its responsibility for escalating the tension on the peninsula.

However hard U.S. works to divert the world's criticism of it to the DPRK by misrepresenting the reality, it can never succeed.

The ulterior aim sought by the U.S. in ceaselessly introducing its strategic assets such as nuclear-powered submarine Mississippi carrying nuclear bombs and B-52H strategic bombers into south Korea is to steadily escalate the tension on the peninsula and unleash the second Korean war any moment.

It is an inviolable independent right of every country and nation to defend the sovereignty and dignity of a country and the lives and security and happiness of its people from the constant nuclear threat and blackmail and war moves of the U.S.

If the U.S. persistently threatens the DPRK with nuclear strike means, escalating tension on the peninsula, the latter will be left with no option but to steadily bolster up powerful preemptive offensive nuclear capability which may pose a constant threat to the U.S.
