Preliminaries of senior and U-21 men's and women's singles came to an end on June 30.

Pak Sin Hyok, Choe Il, Kang Wi Hun, Ro Kwang Jin, An Ji Song, Ri Kyong Hun, Kim Song Gun, Kim Hyong Jin and Ro Hyon Song from the DPRK, Ismailov Sadi from Russia and Xu Haidong, Cao Wei, Yu Heyi, Xu Yingbin, Yang Shuo and Zhao Zhaoyan from China will advance to the 16 tournament of senior men's singles and Ri Myong Sun, Ri Mi Gyong, Kim Hye Song, Cha Hyo Sim, Jong Un Ju, Kim Nam Hae, Kim Sol Song, Ri Hyon Sim, Yu Yong Sun and Kim Song I from the DPRK, Qian Tianyi, Mu Jingyu, Guo Yuhan, Fan Siqi, Shi Xunyao and Liu Weishan from China to that of senior women's singles.

Meanwhile, only DPRK paddlers are to take part in the top 8 tournament of U-21 men's and women's singles.
