Jaroslav Kafka, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association who doubles as chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from June 28 to July 10 and decided to significantly organize a remembrance meeting praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung, seminar, film show and other political and cultural events.
