Swiss Bodies Support Korea's Reunification

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The Swiss preparatory committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on June 27 in support of the open letter of the north side preparatory committee for a joint conference of all political parties, organizations and individuals in the north, the south and abroad for peace and independent reunification on the Korean peninsula.

The statement said that the north side preparatory committee sent an open letter to the authorities, political parties, organizations and individuals in south Korea and abroad in connection with the issue of holding a great national meeting for reunification on the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation.

It went on:

The line and policies for national reunification newly advanced at the historic Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea reflect the firm faith and will to put an end to the history of national division that has lasted for more than seven decades and to usher in a new era of reunification and prosperity when the dignity and honor of the Korean nation are shining before the whole world.

Whoever values the destiny and future of the nation should accept sincere and innovative initiative and proposals of the DPRK.

We fully support the open letter.
