Minju Joson Ridicules Japan's Bid to Be Leader of Asia
Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- Actions against U.S. forces' presence in Japan are rapidly mounting in Japan, says Minju Joson Tuesday in a commentary.

It goes on:

Days ago, there took place a rally opposing U.S. forces in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan with 65,000 people attending. Meanwhile, public circles of Japan are growing vocal demanding the revision of the SOFA granting extraterritorial privileges to U.S. forces in Japan.

Anti-Americanism prevailing in Japan is a revelation of the common mentality of the Japanese people to live, their chests thrown out, with independent rights and dignity.

Japan pretends to be an independent state with sovereignty. However, a mere child knows that Japan is, in fact, a colony of the U.S. and a servant implementing the U.S. policy of aggression.

The Japanese authorities seek a cunning motive in currying favor with their master U.S. without an iota of self-respect in defiance of the public mindset.

The ulterior goal of the Japanese reactionaries is to realize the long-cherished militarist ambition for overseas expansion at any cost, pursuant to the U.S. strategy for dominating Asia.

They try to gain the position of leader of Asia at any cost by launching a war for overseas aggression backed by the U.S. after leaving the whole of Japan to the U.S. as an advanced base for implementing its policy of continental aggression.

Gone are the days never to return when the U.S. could unilaterally pose a military threat to the DPRK as the latter emerged a fresh nuclear power in the East. The security of the U.S. mainland is now exposed to threat.

It is a daydream for the cunning Japanese reactionaries to get the lion's share by fighting a war, depending on such master.
