Overseas Koreans Organizations Support Proposal for Holding Great National Conference for Reunification

Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- The European Regional Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification and the Society for Cooperation among Koreans in Germany issued a solidarity appeal on July 1 in support of the proposal made at the joint conference of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations to hold a great national conference for reunification on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The appeal said that independent and peaceful reunification of the country is the greatest desire of the nation.

The appeal said that as regards the holding of a great national conference for reunification on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation the north side preparatory committee sent an open letter to the authorities, political parties, organizations and individuals of south Korea and abroad.

The appeal warmly supported and hailed the DPRK's proposal in the spirit of national independence, the great national unity and called upon south Korean to express positive solidarity with it.

It called for successfully holding a great national conference for reunification in August from the patriotic stand to make the nation divided by outside forces one.
