Kim Il Sung Remembered by Foreign Crewmen
Haeju, July 5 (KCNA) -- There took place a meeting of foreign crewmen to remember President Kim Il Sung at Haeju Port on Tuesday with the approach of the 22nd anniversary of his demise.

The participants laid bouquets before the statues of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Haeju City and paid tribute to them.

Present at the meeting were the captain and crewmen of Cambodia-flagged ship EVER BRIGHT.

Speakers said that Kim Il Sung, the most outstanding elder statesman in the 20th century recognized by the world, enjoyed the absolute trust of all people as he performed extraordinary exploits in the Korean revolution, the cause of global independence and the development of friendly relations among countries and would always live in the hearts of all of us.

They went on:

The President liberated the country from the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists, built new Korea in which the people became masters, beat back the imperialist allied forces in the last Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialists' invasion and saved the destiny of the country and the nation.

That is why the Korean people miss him very much, highly praising him as a liberator of the country, founder of socialist Korea and father of nation-building.

A letter to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
