Rodong Sinmun Brands S. Korean Authorities as Arch Criminals Driving Inter-Korean Ties into Catastrophe
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The south Korean chief executive hurled a stream of abuses at a recent opening session of the 20th "National Assembly," blustering that "the north's nuclear development is blocking the improvement of the south-north relations" and that "the dialogue proposal without denuclearization is the one for bringing about a change in the phase."

She, in a video message to "the Advisory Council for Democracy and Peaceful Unification", incited the confrontation by crying out for "a perfect posture", describing the DPRK's nuclear deterrent as a "threat" to the north-south relations and peace.

Mandarins of the puppet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministries of Unification and Defense also blustered that "the north's nuclear development is throwing a stumbling block in the way of the south-north relations and peace" and that "denuclearization is the top priority task for dialogue."

Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday observes in an article in this regard:

It is the height of impudence for the south Korean authorities to mislead the public opinion by creating the impression that the north-south ties have been driven into catastrophe owing to the DPRK's self-defensive measure for bolstering up nuclear deterrence.

The south Korean authorities are chiefly to blame for having pushed the inter-Korean ties to catastrophe under the pretext of nuclear issue though they had developed favorably.

It is none other than the U.S. and south Korean authorities that spawned the nuclear issue and have increased the danger of a nuclear war.

The puppet warmongers have persisted in their moves to unleash a nuclear war against the north in collusion with outsiders, terming the north's self-defensive nuclear deterrence a "threat." These war drumbeats are pushing the north-south ties to the point of explosion.

The DPRK's access to nukes is irrelevant to the catastrophe of the north-south relations at all.

The stumbling block lying in the way of improving the inter-Korean ties is not the DPRK's nuclear deterrent, but the anti-reunification moves stepped up by the south Korean authorities to bedevil the inter-Korean relations, pursuant to their policy for escalating the confrontation with the compatriots in the north.
