The message said that he was very pleased to extend a warm salute to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the government and people of the DPRK upon his election as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Uganda.

His election is a powerful demonstration of belief and trust of the Korean people to hold him as their leader in high esteem, it noted.

It extended greetings to him and the Korean people on this significant day, an important event in the history of his great country, and expressed hope for close cooperation with him in the days to come.

It expressed satisfaction over the good cooperative relations existing in harmony between the two countries and two parties and reiterated the readiness to closely work with him to boost these good ties in the interests of the two countries on this great and auspicious occasion.

It wished him good health and the Korean people prosperity in the future, too.
