Revolutionary Drama Staged Here

Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Revolutionary drama "Following the Banner of Victory" was put on the stage at the National Theatre on Friday, the 22nd anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. Watching the revolutionary drama were Kim Yong Nam and other senior officials of the party, state and army, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces organs, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and officials, those who had the honor of being received by the great leaders and persons of distinguished services in Pyongyang. The drama deals with the immortal exploits the President performed in winning the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War by decisively frustrating the U.S. imperialists' large-scale "new offensive" by dint of the Juche-oriented military strategy and tactics and original commanding art and with his noble popular traits. The performers impressively represented the history that the July 27 victory in the war was possible thanks to the total dedication of Kim Il Sung and his indefatigable efforts as he gave great affection to save a soldier of the People's Army from the jaws of death, shouldering the heavy burden of war upon himself and making a forced march to the dangerous forefront, and instilled conviction of victory into the service personnel and people. The revolutionary drama was highly acclaimed by the audience as it imbued them with immutable truth that the army and people who hold the great leader in high esteem are ever-victorious. |
