The statement recalled that the north offered the south a great national conference for reunification and sent open letters to the "government", political parties, social organizations and individual personages of the south side.

The "government" should make a decision for improving the south-north ties, the statement said, and continued:

It is high time the "government" took a practical action for the improvement of the worst south-north ties.

The north offered the south a great national conference so that representatives of all compatriots in the south and the north and abroad may have a candid discussion on the issue of reunification.

If the "government" has an intention to improve the relations, it should positively respond to it.

We youth are hoping for the visits by young people in the north and abroad and will make efforts for the peace and reunification of the country, long-cherished desire of all the fellow countrymen.
