Present there were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), So Chung On, director of its Department for International Affairs and Reunification, Ri Tong Je, chairman of the association, and representatives of local councils of the association.

The meeting discussed the measure for the association to make a contribution to opening a wide avenue to independent reunification, true to the new line and policies for national reunification advanced by Marshal Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Ri Tong Je in a report reviewed the work done by the association to carry out the tasks for national reunification set forth by Kim Jong Un in a letter dated May 25, 2015.

Speeches were made there.

The report was adopted as a decision of the Board of Directors at the meeting.

Nam Sung U said that the DPRK has turned into the strongest nuclear weapons state, bringing about a drastic change in the strategic position of Juche Korea and in the strategic structure of the DPRK-U.S. standoff and that the cause of the Juche revolution and national reunification have entered a new stage.
