Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Measure Council for Human Rights in South Korea Monday gave an answer to the question raised by KCNA as regards the recent disclosure of the fact that the Park Geun Hye regime of south Korea put pressure on media in a bid to cover up its crimes when the ferry Sewol case sank in south Korea. Short time ago, media trade unions of south Korea opened to public the fact that Ri Jong Hyon, former senior secretary for publicity of Chongwadae, made a phone call to the director of the press department of KBS which broadcasted the poor rescuing operation by the puppet marine police at the time when the ferry Sewol sank in April 2014 to force him to delete and reedit the contents of the report, saying that Park Geun Hye watched the report. The above-said case is not a mere accident in the sea but a horrible disaster in which hundreds of people lost their lives at the same time due to inhuman act and incompetence of the Park Geun Hye regime, the spokesman said, and went on: The then puppet marine police and other authorities concerned started a rescue operation late and even deliberately neglected it though there was enough time to rescue passengers before the ferry sank. They insulted the families of the victims as "politically-motivated agitators" and "corpse dealers" and brutally cracked down on the people from all walks of life demanding the probe into the truth behind the case, terming them "the Reds instigated by the north" and "the undesirable Leftist forces following the north." The recently disclosed case clearly proves once again that the ferry Sewol disaster is a product of the unpopular rule pursued by the Park Geun Hye regime. The activities of the Ad Hoc Committee for Probing the Truth behind the Ferry Sewol Disaster were bound to end without any result. This was also attributable to the vicious obstructive moves of the Park group to cover up its sinister crimes. Every sin brings punishment to it. The south Korean people of different social standings should bring the man-killing Park group to the trial of the people and deal a stern punishment to it, not pardoning its desperate efforts to cover up the truth behind the ferry disaster. |
