Present at the seminar were officials in the fields of public health and education, those of ministries, national institutions, working people's organizations and public organizations, school youth and children in Pyongyang, the acting representative of the United Nations Population Fund and members of missions of international organizations and staff members of foreign embassies here.

The speakers emphasized the importance of the position and role of the growing generation in social progress, expressing their expectation that the seminar would be a good opportunity to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN.

Presentations were made on the demographic characteristics of the teenage girls in the DPRK and the global sustainable development goals for young people.
