The statement said that the demise of the President was a big loss to not only the Korean people but also other progressives in the world. It went on:

The President dedicated himself to the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people till the last moments of his life since he embarked upon the road of the revolution.

Thanks to his energetic leadership the DPRK turned into a strong fortress of independence against imperialism that no force dares provoke.

We pray for his immortality.
