Present there were figures of various political parties and organizations, the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, the Pakistan Association for Self-Reliance Studies and masses.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Kim Il Sung.

The secretary general of the Karachi branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association made a report to be followed by speeches.

He said that the world progressives are boundlessly revering Kim Il Sung though 22 years have passed since his demise, lauding his great devotion to the Korean revolution and cause of human independence.

The Juche idea, the Songun idea founded by the President serves as precious guidelines for progressive humankind struggling for global independence, the reporter stressed.

The speakers noted that the banner of independence held aloft by Kim Il Sung still encourages not only the Korean people building a socialist power but also progressive mankind struggling for independence and justice. He was the greatest man in the idea, leadership and virtue, they emphasized.
