Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on July 7 in support of the statement of a spokesman for the DPRK government and the answer of a spokesman for the Institute for American Studies of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK. The statement said: A spokesman for the DPRK government in a statement warned the U.S. and south Korea against talking about "denuclearization of the north" and resorting to deceptive action As of now the U.S. is declining the DPRK's just demand for replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace agreement under the absurd precondition of "north's scrapping of its nuclear program first." The Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea clarified its policy stand that the DPRK would not use nukes first unless others infringe on its sovereignty but sincerely implement the duty for nuclear non-proliferation before the international community and make every effort to realize the denuclearization of the world. A spokesman for the Institute for American Studies of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK strongly denounced the U.S. as regards the claim being floated in the U.S. that "third offset strategy" should be applied to the Korean peninsula. The "third offset strategy" advanced by the U.S. military in 2014 is an expression of extreme hostility of the U.S. to stifle the DPRK. The DPRK is fully capable of making all the U.S. brainchild go belly-up determinedly, to say nothing of the "third offset strategy." We strongly reject the sophism of "denuclearization of the north" and criminal and reckless acts of the U.S. and south Korean authorities and fully support the statement of the spokesman for the DPRK government and the answer of the spokesman for the Institute for American Studies of the DPRK Foreign Ministry reflecting the principled stand of the DPRK. |
