The Syria TV Channel in a program praised the revolutionary career of the President who performed immortal exploits for the country and its people, the times and history, screening photos documenting revolutionary activities of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

The SANA said that the idea and feats of Kim Il Sung are deeply cherished by the Korean people, introducing the fact that the President, who embarked on the road of revolution in his early years with an intention to build a new world for the people on the land of Korea, founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea, accomplished the historic cause of national liberation, enforced all democratic reforms and wisely led the building of a new society after the liberation of the country and honorably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country in the 3-year war ignited by the U.S. imperialists.

The feats of the peerlessly great man who actively supported the struggle of the people of the countries aspiring after independence against imperialism are widely known as a vivid manifestation of his noble sense of obligation, it stressed.

The newspaper Tishrin in an article said that though more than 20 years have passed since the demise of the President, the Korean people are still holding him in high esteem as their eternal leader. The article praised him as a veteran statesman who worked as state leader for the longest time in the world.

The newspapers Al Baath and Al Thawrah and the Central Radio also praised the President.
