The bulletin in an article titled "President Kim Il Sung and global independence" said that the President set forth an idea of making the whole world independent. It went on:

The President met many revolutionaries and resistance fighters across the world to teach them strategy and tactics on the struggle for national liberation in colonies and gave solution to all complicated problems raided by them and their bottlenecks.

He also rendered material aid and moral support to the people of the newly independent countries in their struggle for building a new society for global independence.

He figured out solution for the developing countries which were in agony of exploring a way of building a new society after gaining independence through national liberation struggle in colonies, on the basis of the experience in the DPRK.

It is one of his greatest exploits for global independence that he developed the non-aligned movement (NAM) and made great contributions to turning the NAM into a powerful independent force against imperialism.

He wisely led the world socialist movement to dynamically advance along the banner of independence in the tragic days of collapse of socialism in some countries.
