Recalling that the DPRK proposed to hold a great national conference for reunification to discuss the issue of independent reunification of the country after the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, the statement noted the compatriots in the Far Eastern region fully support the proposal.

The peaceful and independent reunification of Korea based on great national unity would help demonstrate the dignity and honor of the Korean nation to the whole world and bring peace and security to the Korean peninsula, it added.

It called on all the Korean organizations overseas to get united close for the reunification of the country and nation and take active part in the great national conference for reunification.
