Compound Heat Insulator Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, compound heat insulator made from city waste has been introduced into the construction.

The waste polystyrene foamed plastics are being used to make the insulator, developed by the City Management Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences.

The institute also established a process for mass-producing this insulator, an environment-friendly building material, with its own efforts and technology.

According to Kim Chang Su, a section chief of the institute, the compound heat insulator, with low production cost, was applied to building a hotel for scientists at Sci-Tech Complex and other projects.

The DPRK pays big efforts to building environment-friendly and energy-saving buildings.
