Deep Attention Paid to Teenagers in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- There took place a seminar themed "Investing in Teenage Girls" in Pyongyang on July 11 to mark World Population Day 2016. At the meeting, speakers referred to the DPRK government's investment in education, healthcare service and employment for teenagers as part of the efforts to implement the socio-economic development plan. Ulrika Rehnstrom Loi, UNFPA representative a.i. in the DPRK, said that it is an admirable thing that all teenagers study at schools in the DPRK. Sathyanarayana K.M., technical specialist of UNFPA in the DPRK, said all policies pursued by the DPRK for teenagers are very wonderful, expressing his satisfaction over the creditable implementation of the policies. Ramon Jimenez Lopez, vice director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and chairman of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea, said after seeing round the Okryu Children's Hospital that it was a world-standard health service center for children and it was as good as a palace rather than a hospital. The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism said in an article posted on its website that the Songdowon International Children's Camp, located in the east coastal area of the DPRK, was one of attractions in the DPRK that regards children as a king of the country. |
