Seoul Regional Organizations Call for Holding Joint Conference

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The Seoul Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and the Seoul Peace Meeting with attendance of 300 persons held a press conference in Seoul on July 12 calling for holding the joint conference of political parties, organizations and individual persons in the north, the south and abroad to prevent a war and achieve peace.

The organizations issued an action program for holding the great national conference for reunification.

They stressed in an appeal that the Park Geun Hye regime should not miss an opportunity to improve the south-north relations by ensuring the joint conference and various exchanges and cooperation between the south and the north and making practical proposals for resuming dialogue between authorities.

As determined at a meeting related to the inaugural ceremony of the Seoul Peace Meeting with attendance of 300 persons, the permanent organization in Seoul region, on June 11, they would stage actions on the basis of the movement for the resumption of non-governmental exchange and development of north-south relations and movement for regional exchange, the organizations said.
