European Regional Preparatory Committee for Joint Conference Formed

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Korean residents in Europe met in Berlin on July 5 at which they released a statement supporting the proposal for a great national conference and formed the European regional preparatory committee for the successful holding of a great national conference, according to the press release issued on July 14 by the north side preparatory committee for a joint conference of all parties, organizations and individual personages of the north and the south and abroad for the peace and independent reunification of the Korean peninsula.

The European regional preparatory committee consists of overseas compatriots' organizations and individual personages.

Those organizations are the European Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, the Society for Cooperation among Koreans in Germany, the European Regional Headquarters of the Overseas Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, etc.

In addition to the above-said bodies and personages, several compatriots' bodies and individual personages in different countries of Europe have applied for joining the European regional preparatory committee.
