Fish Porridge, Koreans' Special Dish in Summer

Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The Korean people have liked to take fish porridge in hot summer as a special dish for health. The dish is cooked with shellfish or boiled fish and rice as well as various kinds of seasoning. From olden times, citizens in Pyongyang have taken porridge cooked with gray mullet, goldfish, carp and corbicula from the River Taedong in sweltering summer. Inhabitants in the east coastal area would like to take rice gruel mixed with mussels. The porridge has been considered to be one of Koreans' special dishes for its good taste and high nutritive value. |
