S. Korean Bodies Say No to THAAD Deployment
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- South Korean organizations released statements in denunciation of the U.S. and the Park Geun Hye regime's decision to deploy THAAD on July 13, according to south Korean online paper Tongil News.

The Youth and Students Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration demanded an immediate retraction of the decision to deploy THAAD in south Korea, noting it is only aimed to meet the U.S. interests, utterly indifferent to the security of the south Koreans.

Despite many experts' warning that THAAD, a good-for-nothing for the Korean peninsula, would bring again the era of the Cold War, the south Korean regime decided to deploy it, a clear indication that the regime prioritizes the stand of the U.S. rather than the security of people, it charged.

The Ansan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration said the Park Geun Hye regime is escalating the danger of war on the Korean peninsula and threatening the life and security of people by deploying THAAD.

The decision is pursuant to the strategy of the U.S. to dominate Northeast Asia with south Korea as its shield, it added.

The Citizens' Solidarity for Peaceful Reunification strongly demanded the retraction of the decision, saying THAAD deployment would spark a nuclear arms race and public conflict and do harm to health and security of the people.
