S. Korean Authorities Accused of Illegally Detaining DPRK Citizens

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- The Bar Association for Democratic Society of south Korea criticized the authorities for illegally detaining the DPRK citizens after alluring and abducting them in group, according to Yonhap News of south Korea.

In a petition submitted to the "Human Rights Commission" on July 12 the association noted that it became hard to expect a fair court trial as regards the detained women employees of the north.

The association called for looking into whether keeping the women employees of the north in the "center for protecting inhabitants defected from the north" in custody for a long time is in line with law.
