U.S., S. Korea Are Totally to Blame for Bedeviling Nuclear Issue on Korean Peninsula: Nigerian Figure

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, issued a statement on July 14 in support of the statement released by a spokesman for the DPRK government. He said that the Korean people have lived in an unstable climate, neither war nor peace, being exposed to the U.S. persistent nuclear threat and blackmail for several decades. He went on: That the DPRK had access to the powerful deterrent capable of completely restraining the outsiders' nuclear threat and preemptive strike despite all sorts of trials is the inevitable strategic option for establishing the system of durable peace on the Korean peninsula and, furthermore, realizing the denuclearization of the whole peninsula. The U.S. continues to impose the unprecedented nuclear threat upon the DPRK while shipping all sorts of tactical nuclear weapons to south Korea and staging various nuclear war exercises against the latter every year. The south Korean authorities are working hard to ignite a nuclear war at any cost while aligning themselves with the U.S. moves to retain the nuclear hegemony on the peninsula. The U.S. and south Korean authorities who are chiefly to blame for spawning and worsening the nuclear issue on the peninsula should accept the principled demand of the DPRK for denuclearization of the peninsula without any precondition, not trumpeting about the so-called "denuclearization of the north". |
