S. Korean Christians Oppose Japan's Revision of Peace Constitution

| Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Council of Christian Churches criticized Japan's for trying to revive militarism, according to CBS of south Korea on July 12. Noting Japan is set to modify the Article 9 of its peace constitution forbidding it to unleash a war and possess an army, the council said the revision will endanger the security in Northeast Asia including the Korean peninsula. It called on all churches and forces of conscience in the world to turn out in the campaign for preventing the revision. |
