S. Korean Organization Stages Urgent Action in Protest against THAAD Deployment

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- The Taejon Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration staged an urgent action in Taejon on July 14 in protest against the U.S. and the Park Geun Hye group's decision on THAAD deployment, according to Tongil News, an internet paper of south Korea.

The dispute on the THAAD "efficiency" is mounting, the organization said, adding that the THAAD deployment only escalates the military tension on the Korean peninsula and sparks a new Cold War.

At a time when the inter-Korean relations are at the lowest ebb, the THAAD deployment is little short of igniting the fuse leading to powder magazine, the organization said, adding that not only Songju but also any other area of south Korea should not be offered for the deployment of THAAD.
