In the message the acting president extended sincere congratulations to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the government and people of the DPRK on his election as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK on June 29, 2016 on behalf of the government and people of Namibia and on his own behalf.

It expressed pleasure over the steady good diplomatic relations between the governments and peoples of the two countries.

It wished Kim Jong Un good health and success in his work and the people of the DPRK progress and prosperity.
