Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery
Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Another remains of the DPRK heroes were recently buried at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery located at the foot of Mt. Sokbak in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

The martyrs cemetery came into being thanks to the noble moral obligation and warm love of supreme leader Kim Jong Un to glorify through generations the heroic feats performed by soldiers of the Korean People's Army in the period of the Korean war (1950-1953).

A monument to the teachings given by President Kim Il Sung stands in the cemetery.

Seen in the cemetery are the monument to the fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army, the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes", a monument to the poem dedicated to the fallen fighters and group sculptures.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un initiated the construction of the cemetery, personally selected its site and led work to complete it at the best level.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953), an inaugural ceremony took pace in the presence of Kim Jong Un in July Juche 102 (2013).

The cemetery serves as an educational centre to implant into the minds of all the servicepersons and people the indomitable revolutionary spirit and the spirit of devotedly defending the motherland displayed by martyrs during the war.

Cemeteries of fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army were also built in every provincial seat.

With the approach of the war victory day (July 27), service personnel and people from all walks of life are visiting the cemeteries across the country to pay tribute to fallen fighters..
