Meetings with DPRK Hero Held

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Youth and students in Pyongyang and agricultural workers held meetings with DPRK heroes Monday on the 63rd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. Present at the meetings were Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the Central Committee of the youth league, Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK), officials concerned, officials of the youth league and the UAWK, youths and students, agricultural workers and members of the UAWK. DPRK Hero Ji Yong Chun, lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, made a speech at the meeting of the youths and students of Pyongyang held at the Central Youth Hall. He said he, working as democratic youth league chairman of his company during the past war, fought at the cost of his life for President Kim Il Sung, who liberated the country and provided him with a genuine life, and killed, injured and captured hundreds of enemies in various battles including those on Mungyong Pass and Mt. Samyong. He called upon all the youth and students to carry forward the fighting spirit of the preceding generation, who won a war victory, in order to defend Marshal Kim Jong Un unto death and always win victory in the confrontation with the imperialists and U.S. under the guidance of the Party. DPRK Hero Pak In Ho, lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, at the meeting at the Janggyo Co-op Farm in Kangnam County told about how the People's Army contained the U.S. imperialist armed spy ship Pueblo in just 14 minutes and captured the aggressors. He called on the officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers to give steady continuity to the history and tradition of a great victory of war and register a signal success in this year's grain production. Speeches were made at the meetings. |
