Attending it were scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers, graduate students and field technicians of the Pure Metal Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, Tanchon Smeltery, Munphyong Smeltery, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy and other units.

Presented there were more than 80 papers

Highly appreciated there were papers conducive to modernizing Tanchon Smeltery and other smelteries, improving the rate of actual output of valuable metals and good quality, minimizing energy consumption and thus putting spurs to developing the metal industry.

During the presentation there took place a lecture on the trend of the development of nonferrous metal industry and the scientific and technological issues arising in putting equipment and production processes of factories and enterprises in the field on nonferrous metal industry on a Juche and modern basis.
