Wreathes in the name of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA), were seen standing on the wreath-laying stands of the cemeteries.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other leading officials of the party, state and army, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, commissions, ministries and national institutions and service personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) and working people in the city.

A wreath in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK were laid on the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes" at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery and a wreath in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK on the wreath-laying stand of the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri.

Laid before the cemeteries were wreathes in the names of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Ministry of People's Security, working people's organizations, commissions, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and KPISF, institutions of education, health and media, and party and power organs, industrial establishments and farms in the city.

The participants paid silent tribute to the martyrs and looked round the cemeteries.

Laid before the statues of the martyrs, cemeteries of the fallen fighters, monuments to the fallen soldiers of the KPA and cemeteries of fallen fighters across the country were floral baskets in the names of the local party and power organs, working people's organizations, units of the KPA and KPISF, industrial establishments, farms and schools and bouquets and flowers.
