S. Korean Religious Bodies Call for Establishing Peace Mechanism on Korean Peninsula

| Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The Christian organizations of south Korea rejected the U.S. and the puppet authorities' moves to deploy THAAD and strongly called for establishing peace mechanism on the Korean peninsula, according to the south Korean CBS on July 25. The Christian Solidarity for Achieving Peace and Reunification held a "National Assembly" seminar disclosing the injustice of the THAAD deployment and stressed the need to establish peace mechanism, noting that the THAAD deployment cannot pave the way for solving the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula. The Christian Youth Council in a lecture laid bare the danger of THAAD which would disturb peace on the peninsula. Meanwhile, the Committee of Reconciliation and Reunification of the Council of Christian Churches is underscoring the necessity of concluding a peace treaty in U.S. streets from July 18 and visiting churches to conduct a campaign for voicing solidarity with this struggle. |
