Coercive Formation of "Foundation" Protested in S. Korea

Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- The foundation for preserving justice for the settlement of the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army in south Korea in a statement on July 28 condemned the regime for setting up the "foundation" which is little short of insulting the victims of sexual slavery. It groups civic and social organizations including the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps.

It accused the regime of establishing the "foundation for aiding comfort women" in the wake of the "agreement" with Japan over the sexual slavery issue in return for a billion yen provided by the Japanese government.

Justice, human rights and proper settlement of the past history can not be found due to the regime's humiliating behavior of coming out for implementing the "agreement" which is devoid of measures like clear and honest apology and reparation by the Japanese government, it said.

It strongly urged the regime to make efforts for the proper settlement of the sexual slavery issue.
