Kim Il Sung Remembered Abroad
Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The world progressive people paid high tribute to President Kim Il Sung on the 22nd anniversary of his demise.

Formed were remembrance committees consisting of figures of political and social circles in many countries including Iran, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, DR Congo, Austria, Iceland, France, Spain and Venezuela and the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions.

The remembrance committees widely introduced works and feats of the President and significantly organized colorful events.

Talks, articles and statements were issued by figures of political and social circles and organizations including the general secretary of the New Yugoslav Communist Party of Serbia, the honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union and the vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil.

They praised the President as the benevolent father of the people, greatest outstanding leader representing the 20th century and peerlessly great man who devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.

The king and the great queen of Cambodia sent large floral baskets to the DPRK Embassy in Phnom Penh and figures of governments, political parties and organizations of many countries visited the DPRK missions in their countries to lay floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the full-length pictures and paintings depicting the great leaders standing together and paid tribute to them.

World media gave wide publicity to the revolutionary history of the President around July 8.
