Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Organizations in south Korea including the Council for the Peaceful Unification of Tangun's Nation made public a statement on July 29 condemning the criminal acts of the U.S. and Japan. It said that the "Katsura-Taft Agreement" was a product of the criminal collusion between the U.S. and Japan in violating and plundering Korea of its territory and sovereignty to meet their interests. It accused Japan of busying itself to revive militarism as evidenced by its denial of the forcible drafting of Koreans and its crimes related to sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and its claim to Tok islets. Japan adopted the "security legislation" to support the exercise of "the right to collective self-defense" for its rearmament and the U.S. promptly welcomed it, the statement charged. It urged the U.S. and Japan to make apology and reparation for the crimes they perpetrated against the Korean nation. |
