A kick-off meeting was held before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo in Hyesan City, Ryanggang Province on Tuesday.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the monument and paid tribute to him.

A reporter and speakers said that all the members of the study group should deeply grasp the greatness and undying exploits of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu through the study tour.

They underscored the need to bear deep in mind the spirit of devotedly defending the leader and never abandoning revolutionary faith unto death displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners in the battle sites of Mt. Paektu and fully apply it to the ideological education of the union.

All study tour makers will live in a revolutionary and militant manner the way the anti-Japanese guerillas did and display the revolutionary comradeship and collectivist way of life during the study tour and thus prepare themselves as genuine officials armed with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu in the great Kim Jong Un's era, they noted.

At the end of the meeting, they marched for Pochonbo.
