S. Korean Peasants Stage Large-scale Anti-regime Struggle
Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- Peasants of Songju County, south Korea, on July 30 plowed their melon fields in protest against the U.S. and south Korean puppet regime's moves to deploy THAAD, according to Kukmin Ilbo, OhmyNews and other media of south Korea.

More than 30 tractors ploughed melon fields.

Local peasants said with bitter anger they have eked out their living by cultivating melons but they are facing a serious crisis owing to the projected deployment of THAAD.

Local peasants said if the military tries to calm them down by buying their melons, then it is sadly mistaken. They renewed their will not to sell their melons under any circumstances.
