Guarantee of Rights of Women Abductees of DPRK Demanded by S. Korean
Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The director of the Human Rights Center of the south Korean Council of Christian Churches staged a demonstration outside the building of the puppet regime in Seoul on August 2 in demand of the guarantee of human rights of abducted women employees of the DPRK, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News.

If the authorities make public the fate of the women and take an appropriate step through lawyers, the suspicion about them would quickly disappear, but they continue turning a deaf ear to the matter and the suspicion increases and international uproar mounts, the director said, stressing the need to let the north Korean women meet their family members.

Meanwhile, more than 30 organizations including the above-said human rights center and the committee for reunification of the Bar Association for Democratic Society formed the measure council for guaranteeing human rights of north Korean women employees on July 26.

The measure council declared that it would move to probe the truth behind the abduction of north Korean women, prevent human rights abuses, etc.
