Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- Talks between Vice Foreign Minister Sin Hong Chol, who visited Angola as head of a delegation of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, and Manuel Domingos Augusto, secretary of State of the Ministry for External Relations of Angola, took place on August 5.

Sin Hong Chol said the DPRK is dynamically advancing under the uplifted banner of self-reliance and self-development, true to the line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force, holding Marshal Kim Jong Un in high esteem at the top posts of the Party and state.

He referred to the foreign policy of the DPRK government and the issues of developing relations between the DPRK and Angola.

Manuel Domingos Augusto recalled that President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il rendered sincere support and encouragement to Angola in its struggle for national liberation and building for a new society, underscoring the need to further develop the long-standing bilateral ties between the two countries in all aspects to cope with the international situation and challenges.

The Angolan government hopes Korea would be reunified by the concerted efforts of its nation in a peaceful way, he said, adding that, to this end, Angola would enhance its role as a nonpermanent member nation of the UN Security Council.
