For the past five decades the two countries have steadily developed the relations of friendship and cooperation through the joint struggle for independence against imperialism, the message said, adding that it is the steadfast stand of the DPRK government to value and consolidate this historical tradition.

Extending full support and solidarity to the struggle of the Syrian government and people for protecting the sovereignty and security of the country, the message expressed the belief that the good relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries will grow stronger.
